The UQ Athletics Club in partnership with the UQ Sport Athletics Centre is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a final ‘hit out’ meet prior to the Club Nationals and the UNI Nationals on Wednesday, April 1st, with cash prizes to be won.
WHO CAN ENTER:
The Meet is open to anyone 12 years and over (Born 2014 or earlier). To be eligible to compete athletes must have turned 12 years by the 31st December, 2026.
HOW TO ENTER:
Entries will be submitted online at the QA, UQAC or the UQ Sport Athletics Centre websites. Entries will close at 9.00 am on Tuesday, March 31st.
Athletes must be registered with QLD Athletics to be eligible to enter and compete.
WHERE ARE THE MEETS CONDUCTED:
The Meet will be conducted at the UQ Athletic Centre on Sir William MacGregor Drive, St Lucia.
EVENTS ON THE PROGRAM
80/90/100/110m Sprint Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500, Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin, Shot Put
ENTRY FEES:
The fee to compete is $27 with no limit on the number of events an athlete may enter
MONEY EVENTS:
$2000 is up for grabs for the top three performances in the 200 metres, 800 metres, Javelin and Long Jump. $500 will be shared across male and female in each of the four events with the winners purse being $125, 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $50
